Print Gear

Doctors and first responders are in dire need of protective equipment and have contacted us through multiple channels requesting help.

Face Shields

A group of volunteers that include medical doctors, mechanical and biomedical engineers (big brain PHD types) came together to develop a design that is comfortable to wear, inexpensive to print, easy to assemble and ship.

  • This Face Shield is designed to use inexpensive 3/4" insulation foam to create a comfortable and tight seal around the forehead.

  • For the shield, it accepts any letter-sized or a4 transparent film, perforated with any 3-hole punch, and attached with zip ties.

We have a generous group of volunteers already printing parts, but we need as much help as possible. Our goal is to initially produce at least 4k light and 2k heavy designs.

Ear Guards

We got some direct feedback from medical staff that having to wear elastic banded masks all day is hurting their ears. Thanks to one of our awesome volunteers (Jeff W.) who evaluated different plans and proposed a great one, we now have a reccomended plan to print ear guards that our doctors tried out and loved.

How to help

Step1: Make a pledge

We are going to be using the weekly pledge total to order the acetate shields needed to complete the masks. If you are able to print any of the parts, please let us know ahead of time by filling out the pledge form.

Step2: Select a plan

You can pledge to print either of the two plans. When we have enough parts will update this page to reflect that.

Step3: Print

This is the fun part! Tell Jarvis to get cranking and print out those parts!

Drop or ship

We have two options to get the parts to Covid Rangers for final assembly and delivery.
